The National Park College (NPC) Nursing Honor Society, Alpha Delta Nu Beta Lambda
Chapter, planned and implemented a health promotion project with the Eleanor Klugh
Jackson House. The students organized a stay warm items drive and educated on personal
and dental hygiene. They were able to reach approximately 175 people. Each person
was given hygiene tips and products, warm clothing items, and a list of community
resources. This opportunity gave the students valuable insight into the everyday struggles
of community members and gave them a better understanding of behaviors they may see
in a patient-care setting.
