The National Park College Nighthawk women’s basketball team picked up its second-consecutive win Thursday, defeating Rhema Bible Training College on the road, 79-56.

In a game where the visiting team never trailed, the Nighthawks (3-5) were paced early by a six-point first-quarter effort from sophomore Faith Bratton (Jessieville). With a 16-point second quarter, National Park College would continue its strong perimeter defense—which held the Eagles to zero three-pointers in the first half, en route to a 35-22 halftime lead.

The Nighthawks kept the foot on the gas in the second half, led by a 22-point surge from sophomore Hailee Crosby (Mountain Pine), who drained six treys in the final two quarters.

Crosby led the Nighthawks in scoring with 30 points, including 8-11 from behind the three-point line. Bratton finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore Laney Wallace (Malvern) added 13 points in the win.

The Nighthawk men and women return to action Saturday, January 12 at North Arkansas College in Harrison. The Nighthawk women tip off at 12 p.m. with the men playing at 2 p.m. XZero Sports will stream the games live at www.xzerosports.com.
