NPC Announces 2019-2020 Nighthawk Cheer Team
National Park College (NPC) announced the 2019-2020 Nighthawk Cheer Team roster Monday.
Members include Hannah Blankenship of Fountain Lake, Emily Capps of Lakeside, Makina
Crews-Reece of Bismarck, Madison Fox of Centerpoint, Macy Hilt of Fountain Lake, Malena
McCoy of Lakeside, Caroline Pope of Fountain Lake, Eleigha Edgin of Hot Springs Community
School, Destiny Philips of Lakeside, and Esmeralda Santos of Centerpoint. Kelli Embry
and Jaycie Housley coach the team.
“Some of the team members have competitive cheer backgrounds while others are just
starting out in cheer, so it is exciting to watch the more experienced members helping
the newer ones learn and grow,” Embry said. “This group of young women has great potential,
but we are currently focused on team building while perfecting cheers and stunts.
Everyone is looking forward to supporting the men’s and women’s basketball teams during
home games.”
Nighthawk cheer team members will kick off their season Tuesday, Nov. 12 for the
home opener in The Kettle against UA Cossatot. The women’s game begins at 5 p.m. and
the men’s game begins at 7 p.m. XZero Sports will stream the games live at www.xzerosports.com.
