Malvern Middle School teacher, Claudine James and her Pre-AP English class will share their literary civic-engagement project "Stories of Hope” April 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the atrium of the Frederick M. Dierks Center for Nursing and Health Sciences at National Park College (NPC).
James uses historic art and objects from state and national museums, libraries, and other resources to develop lesson plans centered around civic engagement as part of the Arkansas Declaration of Learning program. Arkansas was the first state in the country to implement this national program, which enhances student learning.
