National Park College (NPC) will host spring 2019 Commencement for students who have successfully completed the requirements for graduation Saturday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs. More than 504 students have applied for graduation.
The Hot Springs Concert Band will perform the processional, “Pomp and Circumstance” and the National Anthem. The Hot Springs High School Navy Junior ROTC Color Guard will present the presentation of colors. Rev. Teresa Holt, Pastor of Discipleship and Congregational Care at the First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs will give the invocation.
The College will announce the Thomas and Rachel Spencer Spirit of NPC Award and the Academic All-Star Award during the ceremony. Dr. John Hogan, NPC president will give the graduation remarks and the NPC Choral Department will provide special music.
Immediately following, the NPC Adult Education Center will host a graduation ceremony for students who successfully passed the GED exam and earned an Arkansas high school diploma during the year. The ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. The events are free and open to the public.
