Phi Theta Kappa Wins Again

2018-2019 Officer group for PTK

PTK 2017-2018 Officer GroupAlpha Beta Psi, the National Park College (NPC) chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society attended the Oklahoma/Arkansas regional convention at Northeastern State University-Broken Arrow in Broken Arrow, OK earlier this month.

The 2018-2019 officer group won the Most Distinguished Chapter Officer Team, ranking first in the region. Each year Alpha Beta Psi is required to participate in Honors in Action, which is an action-oriented project related to the Honors Study Topic informed by research. Alpha Beta Psi placed first in this category under their specific theme and ranked third in the region overall. The team also came home with the PTKs first ever Most Edgy Chapter award for having the most members who completed the Five Star Competitive Edge and Transfer Edge curriculum. They ranked third in the region for being amongst the Top Five Distinguished Chapters. Corry Morris competed in the region’s speech competition and won third place in the extemporaneous category.

Alpha Beta Psi will be attending the International Convention, Catalyst, in Orlando, FL in April. They are in the running for international awards.
