National Park College (NPC) held the annual Fall Fiction Writing Contest last month.
The theme for this year’s contest was a modern folktale. All entries were judged anonymously
by Roger Fox, Chair of the Communication/Arts Division.
Student John Wood won for his short story, “Jamais Oublie – Never Forgotten.”
The yearly Fall Fiction Contest is sponsored by the Write Hawks, NPC’s student writing
group. The Write Hawks meet weekly throughout the semester. Students interested in
joining should contact Nannette Crane-Post, advisor, at ncrane@np.edu. Meeting dates for the group can be found on the event calendar.
