Nighthawks Defeat Williams Baptist In Second Face Off

National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk Men’s Basketball team defeated Williams Baptist College Eagles Monday at Walnut Ridge. The Nighthawks faced the Eagles November 11 handily defeating the team 111-76 and earned a second victory Monday with a final score of 74-60.

The Nighthawks led the majority of the game, going into halftime with a 41-25 lead. Coach Jason Hudnell said, “Everyone got a chance to play tonight. We were able to give our bench some quality minutes in the game and I was happy to see 10 out of our 13 team members put points on the board.”

Leading scorer for NPC was #1 Jarvis Ricks of North Little Rock with 11 points, three of which were 3-pointers. #2 Seth Duke of Gravette and #3 Jordan Harper of Lake Hamilton both earned 10 points each. #12 Lowell Washington of Bryant and #24 Braylon Steen of Bryant both scored 8 points each. Washington had eight rebounds and two assists. Steen had five rebounds, 4 assists and one steal. #11 Logan Willett of West Memphis had 7 points, followed by #15 Pierre Adair of Rockford, IL, #10 Westin Church of Pea Ridge, and #13 KJ Corder of Hot Springs each with 6 points.

The team sealed the road win with a final score of 74-60.

Isaiah Allen joined the Nighthawks team this semester after transferring from Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas. Allen is originally from Little Rock where he attended Hall High School.

The Nighthawks play Ecclesia College January 25 in the NPC gym at 7 p.m.
