National Park College (NPC) Nighthawk Men’s Basketball team defeated the Ecclesia College Royals Thursday in a front of a packed home crowd. This was the first meet up for the two teams, which resulted in a Nighthawk victory of 101-60.
The Nighthawks led the entire the game, going into halftime with a 48-33 lead.
Leading scorer for NPC was #24 Braylon Steen of Bryant with 13 points, 11 rebounds,
three assists and two steals. #12 Lowell Washington of Bryant scored 12 points, 10
rebounds and one assist. #13 KJ Corder of Hot Springs also earned 12 points, followed
by #2 Seth Duke of Gravette with 11 points. Both Corder and Duke had three rebounds
and one steal each. #1 Jarvis Ricks of North Little Rock scored nine points and had
three steals for the night. #11 Logan Willett of West Memphis also had nine points,
all 3-pointers, and three rebounds.
The Nighthawks will play back-to-back road games next week at Central Baptist College
January 29 in Conway at 7 p.m. and Crowley’s Ridge College for a rematch January 30
in Paragould at 7 p.m.
