The National Park College Nighthawk women’s basketball team dropped two games on the road over the weekend, falling to Jackson State Community College and Dyersburg State Community College in the Lady Green Jay Classic, hosted by Jackson State Community College.
On Friday, the Nighthawks (1-5) fell to Jackson State Community College, 67-51. Sophomore Bailey Womack (Fountain Lake) led National Park College with 12 points in the loss.
On Saturday, the Nighthawks lost to Dyersburg State Community College, 87-79, despite both teams being tied at 34 at halftime. Womack and sophomore Faith Bratton (Jessieville) led National Park College with 30 and 20 points, respectively, in defeat.
The Nighthawk men and women play host to Jackson State Community College Tuesday, December 18 at “The Kettle” at National Park College in Hot Springs. XZero Sports will stream the games live at www.xzerosports.com, beginning with the women’s game at 2:00 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 4:00 p.m.
