The National Park College Nighthawk men’s basketball team extended its win streak
to eight games Monday, defeating University of Arkansas Cossatot, 107-65.
Playing in historic Bank of Lockesburg gymnasium, the Nighthawks (8-0) overcame a
slow start, offensively, to build a 22-point lead over the final five minutes of the
first half, paced by 11 points from sophomore Seth Duke (Gravette) and 10 points from
freshman Patrick Greene (Little Rock Mills).
Leading, 49-27, at halftime, National Park College continued its hot streak in the
second half, outscoring UA Cossatot, 12-5, over the first five minutes and utilizing
its deep bench to overwhelm the Colts, defensively, with 11 different Nighthawks scoring
in the latter half.
Duke led the Nighthawks in scoring with 17 points. Freshman DJ Martin (Pine Bluff)
amassed 12 points, sophomore Braylon Steen (Bryant) and freshman Chandler Roland (Perryville)
added 11 points, respectively, and Greene scored 10 points in the win.
The Nighthawk men and women return to action Saturday, December 8 at Rhema Bible
College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. XZero Sports will stream the games live at www.xzerosports.com, beginning with the women’s game at 2:00 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 4:00
p.m.
