Pelton Joins ITC as New Director
National Park College (NPC) recently welcomed Robin Pelton as the Innovative Technologies Center (ITC) Director. Pelton brings over 17 years of experience working with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission where she worked closely with aerospace and manufacturing companies in the Garland County region.
Pelton holds a bachelor of business administration in marketing from the University
of Central Arkansas. She spent 15 years in the staffing industry where she cultivated
long-standing relationships with business and industry.
She most recently worked as business manager for the Arkansas Economic Development
Commission’s Existing Business Resource Division. She served as Aerospace Sector Manager
for eight years where she focused on systemic issues with business and industry and
collaborated with others to develop and maintain an effective workforce.
Pelton’s insights helped companies sustain profitability and growth in Arkansas and
resulted in the creation of the Arkansas Aerospace Alliance and coordination of six
annual Arkansas Aerospace Summits and Business-to-Business Expos. She also participated
in the Arkansas Aerospace Training Consortium, the NASA Space Grant Consortium, and
was a senior examiner for the Arkansas Governor’s Quality Award Program.
Vice President for Workforce and Strategic Initiatives, Kelli Albrecht said, “We are thrilled that Robin Pelton has joined our team here at NPC. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the ITC and her contacts at the state level will be an asset as we move forward to the next phase of activities. Robin understands the needs of companies in our region and has built strong relationships through her work at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. I look forward to seeing what new initiatives she develops at the ITC as we move forward with industry, K12, and the community on this endeavor.”
