NPC Coordinates County-Wide Manufacturing Day Event

Hot Springs, Arkansas – National Park College (NPC) is coordinating a series of events on Manufacturing Day October 6. Seven area manufacturing companies and suppliers are providing industry tours, guest speakers, and participating in NPC campus events. Six local public schools have registered to participate with more than 500 students.

Manufacturing Day is part of a nationwide initiative from partner organizations trying to correct common misconceptions about manufacturing and recruit younger workers into high-wage and high-demand manufacturing careers.

NPC events will include the following:

NPC Campus Program Tours

The following programs will provide hands-on demonstrations during campus tours:

  • Aerospace
  • Welding
  • Industrial Technology
  • Pre-Engineering

Trade Show in the NPC Southside Student Center

Registered organizations include:

  • Mountain Valley Spring Company
  • Arkansas Welding & Industrial Supply
  • Xpress Boats
  • Timber Automation
  • NPC Innovative Technologies Center

Participating Schools Include:

  • Ouachita River
  • Fountain Lake
  • Hot Springs

  • Area home school students
