ITC to Host Cyber Security Tech Talk

National Park College (NPC) Innovative Technologies Center (ITC) will host Tech Talk: Smartphone Cyber Security October 19. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the ITC located at 2233 Albert Pike Road.

October is National Cyber Security Awareness month. Christopher Wright, founder and CEO of Citadel Systems will discuss how to protect devices and the information stored on them. Wright has over 20 years experience in military, government, and financial technology, including vulnerability management, security program development, and penetration testing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems.

Smartphone use has more than doubled in the last six years. Users are becoming more dependent on phones with each new version released, as use of email, social media, banking, and shopping increases.
