NPC HOSTS CAMPUS AND COMMUNITY RESOURCE FAIR

National Park College (NPC) will host a Campus and Community Resource Fair March 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the quad between the Library and Lab Sciences building.

Attendees can learn about campus and community resources for child care, utility and food assistance, medical services, resume and career preparation and volunteer opportunities. The event is a service project sponsored by the blue team from the inaugural class of the NPC Leadership Academy. It is open to the public and free food and door prizes will be provided.

NPC Leadership Academy participant, Amy Watson said, “The majority of our students work while completing their degree and it is difficult to make ends meet while juggling all of the responsibilities of family life. Our hope is that this event will help our students understand the enormous amount of resources and support our community has available to help them succeed.”

As of today, the following organizations are confirmed to attend.

Community Organizations: Head Start Community Service Office, Hot Springs Housing Authority, SAILS, United Way, Jackson House, Salvation Army, Department of Human Services, Cooperative Christian Ministries, AIDS Clinic, YMCA, Webb Center, Lion's Club, Community Coffee, First Step School, Hot Springs Child Care, Ouachita Children's Center, Express Employment, Staffmark, Nearly New, Habitat for Humanity, MedExpress.
