Welding students visit prospect steel
The National Park College welding classes attended the American Welding Society's monthly meeting at Prospect Steel, a bridge manufacturer in Little Rock this week. The topic of the meeting was sub arc welding and students were provided with a plant tour.
“This gave our students a chance to hear about different kinds of processes and the tour showed them what to expect when they seek employment. This is one of the highest skilled jobs and one of the highest paid jobs in Arkansas,” said welding instructor Dennis Pickering.
