Hot Springs, Arkansas – The Health Science Technology Education (HSTE) program at National Park Technical Center (NPTC) participated in a college simulation day event last week.

More than 55 seniors in the HSTE program were divided into seven groups and were able to complete 20-minute rotations with seven health science disciplines including radiographic technology, respiratory therapy, EMT/paramedic, registered nursing, practical nursing, health information technology, and medical lab technology.

Students experienced instructor led hands-on interactive learning stations and were later provided information about NPC's transfer agreements and partnerships. The schedule also included a True Colors workshop that provided insight into their personalities.

The goal of the event was to increase awareness about the Health Science programs offered at NPC, and to provide each program an opportunity to showcase their offerings.
