npc instructor speaks at stem savy girls conference
Hot Springs, Arkansas – Dr. Rebekah Robinette spoke at the Henderson State University STEM Girls Conference on March 28, 2017. During her speech, she spoke about her journey from being home schooled in an environment where science was discouraged to finding her way to success at NPC. She described how a strong female mentor helped her find her path to earning a PhD in Biomedical Science. She reassures all women that they can do anything they put their mind to. She encouraged them to educate themselves despite if they pursue a STEM field or not.
Henderson State University will host a second STEM Savy Girls Conference for 7th and 8th graders, and Dr. Robinette has made plans to speak April 18, 2017.
