American Chemical Society National Meeting
Dr. Bishnu Dhakal, a Chemistry instructor for the Math/Science division, attended
the 253rd American Chemical Society National Meeting and Exposition held in San Francisco, California from April 2-6, 2017. He attended various seminars
in chemical education ranging from effective teaching to advances in e-Learning and
online classes. He was able to attend more than 20 different seminars and many poster
presentations. He said the professional development opportunity provided by the college
would help him to make a better classroom experience for our students. Students in
his class would benefit from some of the facts he learned from the research-based
instructional strategies presented during the seminar. He appreciates that NPC provided
the budget for the visit.
