TESTING CENTER RECEIVES NCTA CERTIFICATION

Hot Springs, Arkansas – The National Park College (NPC) Testing Center was awarded the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Test Center Certification this month. Earning NCTA certification acknowledges NPC’s Testing Center adheres to best practices in the testing industry.

Suzy Still receives Testing Center certificationThe Center strives to provide quality in the administration of testing services and programs and improve testing processes and service to students and examinees. There are only four other college and university testing centers NCTA certified in the state of Arkansas. NPC is the fifth college testing center to receive this recognition since the certification program began in 2010.

Three of the seven High Priority Objectives initiated by the president and adopted by the Board of Trustees address student success, including an increase in student persistence, an increase in the number of students earning a degree or certificate and an increase in the number of students transferring to a four-year college or university. The Testing Center plays a vital role in meeting these High Priority Objectives by providing students with a positive, supportive academic experience that gives them a foundation for future success. The Testing Center offers placement testing, for-credit, licensing, certification, and distance education exams in partnership with national testing programs and universities. The Center also provides proctoring services for our students enrolled in transfer programs with partnering Arkansas colleges and universities.

On May 19, NPC hosted the annual Arkansas College Testing Association (ACTA) meeting in the Frederick M. Dierks Center for Nursing and Health Sciences. Testing professionals from across the state attended. NPC Testing Center Director, Suzy Still was elected the 2016-2017 ACTA President.
