NPTC STUDENTS COMPETE IN HOLIDAY CARD CONTEST
Hot Springs, Arkansas – Students in the National Park Technology Center (NPTC) High School Graphic Design program competed in a contest to design the National Park College (NPC) holiday card. More than 40 entries were submitted which the selection committee narrowed down to four winners.
1st Place - Audrey Williams, junior from Lake Hamilton High School
2nd Place - Gabby Walker, senior from Lakeside High School
3rd Place - Jaden Childers, junior from Lake Hamilton High School
Honorable Mention - Sydney Crawford, junior from Lakeside High School
First place winner, Audrey Williams’ design will be featured on the College’s annual
holiday card. Selection committee chair and NPC graphic artist Cari Elliott said,
“All of the entries were beautiful. Audrey’s design was selected because it was warm
and inviting. It offered a fresh and simple take on a traditional holiday card design.”
The National Park Technology Center is a secondary area career and technology center that serves public schools in the Garland County area. The secondary center is available to junior and senior high school students. Program offerings are two years in length. Second year students have the opportunity to participate in job shadowing and apprenticeship activities. Instruction in the areas offered by the center prepares students for entry-level employment and provides the foundation for further education. Students who complete an NPTC program receive a 50 percent tuition discount at NPC after graduation. Learn more about NPTC programs.
