Program Overview
The Automotive Service Technology (AST) program prepares you for employment in new car agencies, independent repair facilities, automotive supply stores, service stations and as fleet mechanics.
Due to anticipated inclement weather, NPC will close campus and all NPC students and employees transition to remote operations starting at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 23rd and remain remote on Monday, January 26th. Decisions regarding operations for Tuesday, January 27th will be made at a later time.

The Automotive Service Technology (AST) program prepares you for employment in new car agencies, independent repair facilities, automotive supply stores, service stations and as fleet mechanics.
The AST program runs on a block schedule, Monday through Friday, typically from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The program combines classroom instruction on automotive theory with extensive lab time. You will cover a range of topics relating to the automotive industry and will apply this knowledge to actual work on lab vehicles.
The program is accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation. After completing the program, you have an opportunity to earn credentials by successfully completing ASE certification exams.
