About the Concurrent Credit Program
National Park College offers high school students the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school. Through the Concurrent Credit Program, courses are taught on the high school campus by NPC certified high school teachers. Students who successfully complete the class earn credits that count toward high school graduation as well as college credit for the course. These college credits can be applied toward a future NPC degree or transferred to another college or university*.
The NPC Concurrent Credit Program is fully accredited by NACEP – National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships. Additionally, NPC is accredited by HLC – The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. We are proud to offer our high school partners the quality standards and peace of mind that come with these affiliations.
Why You Should participate
- Concurrent credit gives you a head start on your college education at a reduced rate, saving time and money.
- You are more likely to graduate from high school, enroll in college, earn higher grade point averages and complete college degrees.
- Concurrent credit courses taken in high school may fulfill college degree requirements, serve as electives, or fulfill pre-requisite requirements, allowing for earlier college graduation.
- Concurrent credit courses show colleges you are a motivated student who has pursued challenging opportunities.
How to get started
- Complete the online admissions application.
- Complete the NPC concurrent registration form.
- Submit copy of current ACT or ACCUPLACER test scores. The scores must be within the past three years and before the beginning of the semester.
*While most colleges accept NPC concurrent enrollment course credits when a grade of C or higher is earned, we cannot guarantee all credits will be accepted because every college sets its own policy. If you are planning to attend another college or university, we recommend you check their transfer policies before enrolling in our courses.
