- Successful completion of the required number of credits.
- Satisfaction of residency requirements - students graduating earning an associate degree from National Park College must complete 18 semester hours in residence at NPC. GradFest, which is a “one-stop shop” that enables graduates to take care of all graduation needs in one location, is held in the spring semester each year exclusively for all fall graduates and spring/summer graduate candidates. At GradFest, graduates may apply for graduation, order their cap and gown, purchase graduation announcements, and visit with campus representatives about graduation services and requirements. A Nighthawks Graduation Checklist, which includes important dates, contacts, and details about all aspects of graduation, is also provided to GradFest attendees.
May 2019 Commencement
Fall 2018 graduates, as well as Spring and Summer 2019 candidates may participate in the May 2019 commencement ceremony.
National Park College holds one commencement ceremony at the end of the spring semester each year. All fall graduates and spring/summer graduate candidates are eligible to participate in commencement. Spring and summer candidates who wish to participate in commencement MUST submit an application for graduation by the March deadline (March 15, 2019) in order to have their names printed in the commencement program. Participation in commencement does not guarantee all requirements for a degree or certificate have been satisfied.
All fall graduates and spring/summer graduate candidates participating in the commencement ceremony must have a cap & gown. There is no charge for ordering a cap and gown; however, participants must either be measured for graduation regalia at GradFest or go to the NPC campus store to be measured for graduation regalia during the following dates for the spring 2019 commencement ceremony: February 25 – March 15, 2019.
