David Carrouth, MD was born in Hot Springs, AR, and graduated from Lake Hamilton High
School. Dr. Carrouth attended Ouachita Baptist University, receiving his BS in Biology,
and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock where he earned
his doctorate of Medicine.
Upon completing an internship and residency in Internal Medicine, Dr. Carrouth spent
the next four years serving in the United States Navy, where he was deployed three
times. After his military service, Dr. Carrouth worked as an Internal Medicine/hospitalist
in various hospitals. Dr. Carrouth has also been active in medical missions and has
formed a non-profit organization that helps provide aid to a Christian orphanage and
school in Zambia, Africa.
Dr. Carrouth currently lives in Hot Springs with his wife, Lindsay, and two children,
Harrison and Bailey. He is proud to be a part of National Park College. As he instructs
in the Medical Professions program, Dr. Carrouth hopes to put knowledge and experience
in the hands of the students he encounters.
