Debby Hunt grew up in the Mt. Ida area. She started college at NPC (formerly GCCC)
and graduated with an AAS in HIT. She also has a BS from John Brown University and
a MS in Health Informatics (MSHI) from Arkansas Tech in Russellville. Previously,
Debby worked at an acute care hospital for 20 years as Health Information Management
Director and Compliance Officer prior to NPC. She started teaching part-time at NPC
in 2004 and became full-time as HIT Program Director in 2010. She teaches Health Information
Technology and Professional Medical Coding. She is also an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10 Trainer
(certification) and a Certified Coding Specialist.
