Assistant Professor Speech, Arts-and-Humanities

Dr. Tamara St.Marthe currently teaches Speech Communication at NPC. She received her B.A. in Mass Communication from Midwestern State University, her M.A. in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication, and her Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Her master’s degree focused on developing and employing effective verbal and written communication skills and strategies in order to achieve success in the workplace, as well as in interpersonal, romantic, and family relationships. Her doctoral studies focused in part on understanding the trends, issues and problems affecting women seeking leadership positions in higher education. Dr. St. Marthe also taught Fundamentals of Communication (Public Speaking) at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and in Fort Smith before coming to National Park College. She is extremely passionate about teaching, and values the opportunity to influence student success here at NPC. She also enjoys being a mother and takes pride in raising her son. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, quality time with her son, traveling, and the outdoors.
