Assistant Professor Mathematics, STEM
Joey joins NPC’s Math and Science faculty this year from Cardwell, Missouri. He earned a Master of Science degree in mathematics from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor of Science in middle-level education in mathematics and science. He has teaching experience from Arkansas State University, Arkansas Northeastern College, and Black River Technical College. He says his classroom philosophy is simple. He is here to help students help themselves. He said, “I am here to instruct students, but this isn’t high school. I will help as much as I can, but ultimately students must take responsibility for their own learning.” He enjoys the natural setting of the NPC campus and is excited about fitness, running, and weightlifting. He works to push himself to break the next personal record and strives to see how far he can help others to go. Joey is also an avid gamer.
