Lab Supervisor, STEM
After serving eight years in the Army, including a one-year tour in Iraq, I decided that it was time for a change. I received an AS in Medical Laboratory Technology from National Park College in 2013, a BS in Liberal Arts from Excelsior University in 2022, a Master of Science in Education from Northwest Missouri State University in 2023, and my EdD (Doctor of Education) in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University in 2026. My research involved gathering real-time, in-person data on student engagement trends and finding solutions to improve student motivation and engagement. My hobbies include hiking, camping, sport shooting, boating, fishing, playing disc golf, working on DIY projects, and gaming. My wife also enjoys these hobbies, and we both enjoy thrifting and searching for crystals and diamonds at various locations around the state. After spending several years working at a Level 2 trauma center, I decided that it was time to move into academia and continue my educational journey. Being my original alma mater, I could think of no better place than National Park College. The campus is surrounded by such natural beauty, the local dining is excellent, and the College community is warm and vibrant. The staff and faculty at NPC truly care about student success. I am looking forward to moving into more of a teaching role where I can provide opportunities to help support students’ personal growth and foster an environment that encourages lifelong learning.
