Responsible Cabinet Member: Vice President for External Relations

Department/Office: External Relations

This policy defines the process for reserving space for external groups and events hosted by National Park College that are open to the public.

Arkansas Code Section 6-61-521 grants authority to the Board of Trustees to establish rules and regulations for the institution. Section 4.100 of the Board of Trustees Statement of Policies grants authority to the President to implement the policies and procedures of the Board relating to College operations.

External group: Any group, organization or association that is not a part of National Park College.

The college welcomes requests from outside groups for the use of college facilities to further the educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the community. Priority and consideration for all facilities will first be given to NPC academic and continuing education courses, College-affiliated groups, and programs sponsored by the State of Arkansas, its agencies and institutions.

The Vice President of External Affairs is responsible for overseeing the reservation process. The Vice President for Financial Affairs is responsible for any monetary concerns, rents, insurance, security charges or other financial arrangements involved in the use of the facilities.
