Sara received a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University (English/Literature 2001)
and had a fulfilling career in Human Resources. She pursued her master’s degree in
Social Work at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (2018) and is a Licensed
Clinical Social Worker. She has acquired additional education/interest in bridging
the gap between therapy and family law (Bowen Law School) and has completed advanced
training to become an EMDR Consultant and training facilitator.
She started her counseling career at Hot Spring’s community mental health center in 2018, transitioned into private practice
in 2021 and is now offering counseling services and teaching social science classes
for NPC. She has experience in the treatment of adults with post-traumatic stress
disorder and regularly treats clients with depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma, crises, schizophrenia, personality
disorders, long-term mental illness, divorce, and child custody.
She has been accepted into the advanced training program for EMDR facilitation and
training with TR-HAP, continues to provide private practice counseling to the community,
offers EMDR consultant services to other clinicians during their EMDR trainings and
is a licensing supervisor for LMSW level social workers to assist in their requirements
for LCSW licensure.
