Alyssa Clayton, Nursing Student
“I found my passion as a young child caring for my disabled grandmother and siblings. I am dedicated to my family and my education. Working toward a degree in nursing is a challenge, but scholarships have helped me to be able to focus on my studies while continuing to support my family. My dream is to become a nurse so that I can help people heal.”
Cristian Navarrete, Engineering Student
“The scholarships I received from NPC have helped me get started on my plan to pursue a career in aerospace engineering. After graduation, I will transfer to Arkansas Tech University to complete a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. My ultimate dream is to be able to work for NASA.”
Jamie Lynn, Business Student
“In my short time at NPC, I have already earned eight Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) student certificates in Automotive Technology. Now, I’m working to complete an Associate of Applied Science in General Technology and an Associate of Science in Business so I can pursue my dream to own and operate my own automotive business. I want to be able to give back to the community in the same way I have been helped throughout my education.”
Nick Cullen, Veteran Student
I am a Navy veteran and registered nursing student at NPC. I am married and have four children. I plan to complete an Associate of Science in Nursing and then transfer to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing while working as a registered nurse. One day, I hope to pursue a Master’s degree in nursing and put my skills to use in the mission field.
Katie Hardister, Teacher Education Student
I am the first in my family to attend college, so I understand the value of education and what it means for my family. The scholarships I have received at NPC are helping me reach my dream of becoming a teacher. I plan to transfer to Henderson State to complete my teaching degree and help other students realize their potential through positive classroom experiences.
