Dr. Doug Ross currently serves as President of CHI St. Vincent Hospital Hot Springs
and Chief Medical Officer for the Health System. He is a graduate of the University
of Arkansas’s Chemical Engineering program, attended the University of Arkansas for
Medical Sciences and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University
of South Carolina.
Dr. Ross is a Board-Certified Emergency Physician and joined the healthcare team in
Hot Springs in 2003 as an Emergency Medicine Physician. During his time in Hot Springs,
he served as Chief of Staff, Medical Director of Informatics and Emergency Department
Medical Director. He has served as VPMA at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs since 2014
and as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of CHI St. Vincent since January
2018. Dr. Ross was instrumental in the development of the integrated Emergency Medicine
group that includes Hot Springs, Infirmary, Morrilton, North and Conway Regional Health
System. Dr. Ross also provided oversight for the Hospitalist Program. He was appointed
as President for CHI St. Vincent Hospital Hot Springs in January 2019. Doug serves
as a CommonSpirit Health™ Division Chief Physician Executive for the SE Division.
Dr. Ross serves his community through various civic and service club affiliations
including the National Park College Foundation, Board of Directors and Government
Affairs Committee for the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, Board of directors for
CHI St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital, Hot Springs Metro Partnership, Hot Springs
Village Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Hot Springs National Park, and Jack
Stephens Heart Institute Board of Managers.
Dr, Ross and his wife, Jenny, have three children. Dr. Ross serves as a Deacon at
First Baptist Church Hot Springs. He enjoys family time, sports, golf, and time on
the lake.
